Success at last!

Well, just when I was about to give up hope that anything I can bake now will taste decent I make a good banana bread.  Whew!  I used the recipe at Celiac.com called Banana Bread #4.  I made it with my great niece, Ramsey who is just a dandy little baker.

Can’t write more now because I’ve caught a cold and took care of Ramsey and ate a ton all day.  More tomorrow.

I’ll dream of warm delicious banana bread 🙂

Good Morning, Jackie! I love how you keep an ongoing inventory of your reactions to things, some people don’t tie in Cause and Affect with what they put in their bodies. So I wanted to share with you:I haven’t read ALL of your entries yet, but I’m working on it, as my pain levels have increased again lately.

One thing I wanted to share, an observation I’ve made of myself over the past few years with FM and back injury. Whenever I have been taking hydrocodone, sometimes even if I take it for just one day, I have cravings when I stop taking it. Not being of a drug addicted mindset, I often can’t figure out what it is, Sometimes it is for sweets, sometimes just kinda random and I can’t figure out what I need to stop it. Then I realize it is probably medication withdrawals, and that helps me get through it. It does pass. You seem to be an “information is power” kind of person, so I wanted to pass on my experience on this. 🙂

Thanks, Cori! I haven’t put that together yet…probably because I am still taking the hydro on a daily basis. But I really feel like I’m working my way off it. Anyway, I’m going to pay attention to the timing of the craving and ready to take my next dose.

I’m sorry that I dropped the ball on us getting together. I still want to do that. I caught a stupid cold and so did my husband and son who lives with us! Once that is cleared up then we should get together and visit, don’t you think?

I’m glad you read the blog…it’s my way of keeping a food journal.
    Take care, Cori,
    Jacki
